ABOUT
The HOME OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICES is an incubator for artistic research around the Body in Performance and its wider Ecology. Within its setting of de-disciplined and diverse thinking, the HOME promotes performance-making as a strategy for equitable societies.
At the core of the HOME are the accredited master's degrees in Performance Practices in four specialisations (De-disciplined Performance, Choreography, Performance Art, and from 2025-26 Theatre Practices).
The programme is at the forefront of rigorous artistic and intellectual enquiry and facilitated by a team of internationally-renowned practitioners and researchers. Students design rigorous lines of research, investigating, challenging, and reshaping the role of the artist, contributing to the advancement of performance in their chosen field.
The HOME OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICES as we know it today was founded by Dr. Pavlos Kountouriotis. With vision, clarity, and care, Pavlos built the programme into an internationally recognised centre for excellence in artistic research. His focus on The Body in Performance, together with values-based assessment and a de-disciplined, socially engaged curriculum, laid the foundation for our current ethos.
Though Pavlos has transitioned into a new professional role, his contribution continues to inform everything we do—from curriculum design to community values. We strive to keep building on this legacy and continue to advance the field of performance practices.
