About the Event
Is it the end of the world as we know it, or is that just REM playing on the radio? Could signing in the style of Freddie Mercury actually help us break free? Or could screaming ‘Rebel Yell’ down a microphone point the way to revolution?
‘Remedies Against Panic’ thinks that karaoke is more than just a drunken night out and could be a portal to a new world order, but this future can’t happen without your participation. A culmination of her research on participatory performance practices and post-capitalist possibilities, Remedies Against Panic is and attempt at a co-created, interactive narrative of a post-capitalist future using pop-songs from the 1980s.
