YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE by Zuzanna Sosnowska

"Your Favourite Place" is a soundscape performance reusing the form of guided meditation and the result of my ongoing artistic research focused on “Production of experience in performance art and its connectedness to the neoliberal model of working”.

Since the proximity of the notion of experience in advanced capitalism increasingly influences performance art, I reuse the environment and conditions affecting my artistic labour as my material and twist them.

Focusing on the importance of the spectator I am aiming to transform the spectator into the experiencer, whose engagement is stimulated by listening.

In my soundscape performance, I am reusing a remix of guided meditation combined with sound to create a highly individualised experience with the proximity of others.

"Your Favourite Place" invites participants to relate to their sensation.

Annotation: As a participant, you might be asked to close your eyes and take off your mask. You do not need to do that in case you don’t feel comfortable with it.
