About the Event

A mixed-media presentation, QUEERING PHOTOGRAPHY: TEMPORALITIES OF IDENTITY is an investigation through practice into queer potentialities in photography, when approached through a performance perspective.

Currently focusing on notions of time, this experiment is attempting to bring in queer readings and understandings of time in the photographic process, by using performance in order to “queer” both the making and showcasing of photographic representations of the queer body. By doing so, an invitation is extended towards the audience to consider witnessing photographic representation as an operation of identity-formation and explore the possibilities rising from looking at identity through the lens of queer temporalities.

Two more performances of our First Year students are being presented the same day, "Slut: A Love Story" by Anne Marina Fidler and "Where is the Rest" by Antti Uimonen. Check out for more information and reserve your spot!

If you are planning to attend any of the performances, please enter your details to RSVP registration form.
