OPEN CALL for applications | MA Performance Practices (Autumn 2027)
Applications are now open for entry into our Master’s degree programme starting in Autumn 2027. While that might feel like a distant horizon, practice-as-research thrives on space, curiosity, and quiet preparation. We invite you to start dreaming, questioning, and planning your next steps with us.
At the Home of Performance Practices at ArtEZ University of the Arts, we welcome artists from performance art, choreography, contemporary theatre, experimental dance, and visual art who are ready to deepen their work through critical inquiry. Our curriculum sits at the forefront of artistic and intellectual exploration around politics and ethics, treating performance-making not as an isolated discipline, but as a vibrant strategy for building equitable societies and intersectional futures.
Here, learning is a collective, living process. Facilitated by an international team of renowned practitioners and researchers, you will act as an intra-active agent—co-shaping your study alongside your peers, invited guests, and the wider ecology, while actively contributing to the sustainable advancement of your field.
If you are an artist with a relentless spirit of experimentation, an ambition to grow, and a commitment to artmaking as a lifelong practice in open dialogue with peers and audiences, you will find a home here.
We look forward to meeting you and engaging with your work.
